Ribbon Wand Tip

Christmas morning brought the arrival of many a new Ribbon Wand to kids all over North America. Here's a tip to help get you started, especially effective for little ones using the ribbon wand.

My daughter calls this move pictured above 'the stir'. Little ones get the wand and tend spin it Harry Potter style, round and round in rapid little circles and this results in a nice little beehive at the end of the wand. Instead, encourage them to point the wand down, as though they are stirring a cake mix on a counter just high enough for them to reach, but not see what's in the bowl. This is stops the ribbon tangle and gets them used to the movement of their individual wand.

Happy Twirling!
