I'll be cavorting in hot pinks, reds, blushes, and oh so soft baby pinks the entire two months. Sounds like fun for me! I'm also excited to be presenting my Ribbon Girl Wedding Wands for 2009. This year I'm going to take on less custom work for weddings and offer a few distinct lines that hopefully will work for a multitude of wedding palettes.

Happy 2009
I'm looking out the window at blue skies. Let's hope it's a sign of things to come for all of us in 2009! Well, Christmas break is almost over and I'm back in the studio tomorrow putting the finishing touches on my shop theme for January and February:

One week away
The final countdown to Christmas. I'm squeezing in a few last minute projects, how about you? Today I finished two tutu's for my daughter. I had a great time making them and know they will be well loved as they join our ever growing dress up trunk of frilly things and various costumes. I have oodles of baking that I would love to find time to do and of course some much needed Christmas cleaning. As my schedule slows down over the next few weeks, I hope to add some new project ideas to the blog, so stay tuned and enjoy the upcoming week!

Inspiration
RIBBON christmas tree
Another scrap ribbon project! You will need:-Patterned Ribbon Scraps - the amount really depends on the size of your ribbon, it could be as many as 300, 4 inch long pieces if you are using 1/4 inch width ribbon or much less, if using larger widths.
-Pins
-Styrofoam Cone
-Star ornament for the top
Start from the bottom by pinning ribbon pieces all around the base, allowing the ribbon to overhang slightly past the base. Then apply the next layer like you were shingling a house, in an offset pattern. Repeat process until you get to the top of the cone and finish with a festive star topper.

RIBBON as art
Another simple project for your ribbon scraps. This is a great way to add a touch of art to a space for a very small price. Find coordinating ribbon colors to match your home decor and simply use double sided tape to attach ribbon to a board slightly larger than the framed opening. Tape board into place and put the frame together. Ribbon as art!
