GREEN with envy
All the green ribbon I ordered is on back order. So I'm calling green as a huge wedding color this year. Why? My ribbon supplier is used by many New York fashion designers. Maybe the environmental interest has influenced color in very interesting ways.

Ribbon 411
Regular Play Ribbon
My standard ribbon is 1 1/2" double faced satin, made in the Unitied States. It exceeds federal standards as flame retardant and has been produced using the finest materials and colorants available. It is washable and can be tumble dried.
Flower Girl Wedding Ribbon
I save a special ribbon for weddings. It is a double faced Swiss Satin made in Switzerland. Machine Washable to 140'F Colorfast. Cool Iron, only up to 230'F. Worldwide highest quality and finest materials used.
Ribbon Wands is committed to finding the best materials that will last the test of time and play of your wand. I originally tried ribbon made in China and Asia and the results were just not good enough. My current supplier of ribbon makes the best ribbon I've found on the market and I'm proud to pass this great product onto my customers.

Ribbon Awaits
I've been tracking my ribbon order over the Holidays, as it made its extremely slow crawl from New York City to my door. It's here, it's in the same town as me and I can't get it! We were enroute home from Calgary when we missed the delivery and now my package waits for me in a locked post office. The horror.

Ribbon Wand Tip

Christmas morning brought the arrival of many a new Ribbon Wand to kids all over North America. Here's a tip to help get you started, especially effective for little ones using the ribbon wand.
My daughter calls this move pictured above 'the stir'. Little ones get the wand and tend spin it Harry Potter style, round and round in rapid little circles and this results in a nice little beehive at the end of the wand. Instead, encourage them to point the wand down, as though they are stirring a cake mix on a counter just high enough for them to reach, but not see what's in the bowl. This is stops the ribbon tangle and gets them used to the movement of their individual wand.
Happy Twirling!

Shipping Policy
Ribbon Wands are sent to various destinations around the world as Light Packets usually weighing around 0.08 Kg per individual wand. To keep shipping costs low, I do not get a tracking number as this adds significant cost to the order, and is often as much as the wand itself. Expect shipping to take a minimum of 10 business days. On many occassions it has taken less, rarely has it taken more. Ten business days is a fair estimate of when to expect your package. I do not and can not gaurentee faster shipping, as I have no control over time frames en route and local delivery policies. I can only promise due diligence on my end, by safe packaging, clearly marked parcels and shipping the item as quickly as possible.

A few of my favorite things...
Here are my favorite wands from the last few months.
My daughter was looking through my photos last night and commented on how she really really wants the Sugar Plum Ribbon Wand (bottom left hand corner) for Christmas. So I guess I'm still not done...
Merry Christmas!

2008 Color Trends
Not quite sure what the "powers that be" are calling the trends for 2008 but this is where I am, and show the palette of colors that I'm inspired by right now as I design the collections for 2008.

Workin' on it
I'm all caught up on custom orders...yay! I have made friends with the local postmaster, hey Dolores! In all my busyness, my etsy store has suffered. Now that the custom work is caught up, and I've managed to secure some more material (I ran out of wands, for the first time ever!), I'll be back in business making some wands for the shop.
